19.87 Talk Show 06 May 2026: Who's Who in The Zoo - But Why the Zoo: Further Unpacking the Reviewed IDoW

ABOUT THIS CPD EVENT

The SAIAT 19.87 TALK SHOW hosted by SAIAT 19.87 is an internet-based TALK SHOW that is broadcast between 18:00 and 19:00 on the first Wednesday of every month. Listeners will be able to ask questions and interact via chat messages and open microphones. There is no video feed, only audio.​

Registered architectural professionals attending the live show will earn 0.1 Cat 1 CPD points. The Talk Show will be available as a podcast (no CPD points) after the live show at https://www.saiat.org.za/talkshow. This is a free service to all registered architectural professionals.

The topic for the 08 April 2026 (postponed from 01 April 2026) Talkshow will be 

​The IDoW Policy for the Architectural Profession, published in the Government Gazette under Board Notice 901 of 2026 on 27 March 2026, repeals all previously published IDoW policies.

​The Talk Show of 08 April 2026 started with the unpacking of the newly published IDoW Policy. During this show, we will answer questions received by e-mail and dig deeper into the reasons why SACAP is required to publish an IDoW Policy. 

Our guest will be Frans Dekker, a member of SACAP's IDoW committee for many years, who was instrumental in creating the new matrix and building occupancies.
