ABOUT THIS CPD EVENT

This session brings together the designers behind Decorex Africa’s Soft Life Pods, a series of immersive small-scale interiors that translate the show’s 2026 theme into physical space. Conceived as intimate rooms, thresholds and brand environments, the pods explore how comfort, tactility, light, scent, material and atmosphere can shift the way people experience interiors. From Karoo Baba’s hospitality-inspired dream room, where merino sheepskin is placed in context across a fully dressed interior, to Arcpop’s sensory threshold of drapery, coffee, projection, scent and sound, and Styleast’s more architectural language of cladding, curtain, mirror, stone and light, the discussion looks at how designers can create spaces that are both commercially clear and emotionally resonant.
