This virtual event will contribute to the continuing development of the architectural professional by providing further mobility and transportability within the field of applying and understanding the legal requirements of building owners / accounting officers to display Energy Performance Certificates at the entrance to their buildings. ABOUT THIS CPD EVENT
In recent years, moving buildings to a greener life cycle and striving for increased energy efficiency has become more than just another point on the current world agenda. South Africa has been moving towards energy efficiency for the past 15 years, with the National Energy Efficiency Strategy (NEES) and various regulations. Understanding the South African environment and what is required from the accounting officers, building owners and other stakeholders to ensure that the changes are made gradually and with the bigger picture in mind.
In order to align the South African built environment with international best practice and increased targets for the reduction of CO2 emissions, the Government has legislated the mandatory disclosure of energy performance of existing buildings through Energy Performance Certification.

DURATION AND CPD:
The event is available as a pre-recording with a duration of ± 1.5 hours.You may stop and continue later. On the last day of every month a list of those who have succesfully completed the event will be extracted from the system and CPD certificates genereate - these certificates will be available on the e-Portal with the first two weeks of the next month.
It is validated for 0.15 CPD Category 1 points for SACAP registered professionals.
