This virtual event will contribute to the continuing development of the architectural professional by providing further mobility and transportability within the field of applying and understanding the fundamentals of architectural design - the BAUHAUS way.
ABOUT THIS CPD EVENT
The Bauhaus, founded by Walter Gropius in 1919, in Germany, attempted to meet a shortcoming by not placing “subjects” at the head of its curriculum, but man, in his natural readiness to grasp the whole of life. Although for reasons of convenience a division into semesters was retained, the old concept and content of “school” was discarded, and a community of work established. The powers latent in each individual were to be welded into a free collective body. Also the pattern of a community of students who learn “not for school, but for life” had to be worked out and converted into a cross-section of full, organic, and adaptable living.
Everyone is equipped by nature to receive and assimilate sensory experiences. Everyone is sensitive to tones and colors, has sure touch and space reactions, etc. This means that by nature everyone is able to participate in all the pleasures of sensory experiences, that any healthy man can also become a musician, painter, sculptor, architect, just as when he speaks, he is “a speaker.”
DURATION AND CPD:
The event is available as a pre-recording with a duration of ± 3.5 hours.You may stop and continue later. On the last day of every month a list of those who have succesfully completed the event will be extracted from the system and CPD certificates genereate - these certificates will be available on the e-Portal with the first two weeks of the next month.
It is validated for 0.35 CPD Category 1 points for SACAP registered professionals.
