ABOUT THIS CPD EVENT

Edition 3 of SANS 10400-XA was published early in 2026. There are no major changes to the requirements to satisfy the NBR, except for how the requirements for energy efficient hot water are satisfied.

This event will demonstrate through examples how especially the fenestration and hot water requirements can be satisfied without the need for rational designs. Participants will be given oppertunities to ask questions and to comment on what is being presented.

To comply with Regulation XA is not difficult or a costly exercise - and this event will demonstrate how easy it is to comply for plan approval purposes.

PRESENTER:

Frans Dekker is the Managing Director of SAIAT and has been presenting CPD workshops for SAIAT since 2008. Frans is chairing SABS TC060 (Standards related to the National Building Regulations) and was a member of the workgroup responsible for the latest review of SANS 10400-XA.
